Arthritis Society statement in response to Saskatchewan budget

Stephanie Mosher
Vice President, Western Canada

We’re pleased the 2022-23 Saskatchewan budget, released March 23, included a record investment in health care – it is much needed.

We were also pleased to see Finance Minister Donna Harpauer announce an increase of $21.6 million to address surgical waitlists. We plan to follow up regularly to ensure reducing wait times remains a priority. And we are happy to work with the government help it reach its three-year plan goal to deliver the largest volume of surgical procedures in the history of the province.

Patients have been waiting in pain for joint replacement surgery and it’s time to help them move well again.
